Our Process

Facilitating a Complete and Accurate Plan for Your Family

It is important to us at Graham Estate Planning that we provide you with the best plan for you and your family. You know your situation best, so we rely on information from you to be able to create your optimal plan. To help you best prepare and understand this process, we’ve created a process flow below.

Step by Step
  • Introductory Conversation

    During this initial conversation, my firm gains a high-level understanding of your estate planning needs so we know what types of documents you need.

  • Sign Contract

    Once we understand your overall needs, we'll send you a contract that outlines the specifics of our agreement and the required payment schedule. Please read and ensure you understand the terms of the agreement, then sign and submit the contract.

  • Submit Initial Payment

    In order for us to begin work, please submit the initial payment amount, as outlined in your agreement. Any remainder will then be due prior to the final meeting where you sign your documents.

  • Complete Design Questionnaire

    In order for us to ensure your estate plan is complete and accurate, my firm requires specific detailed information about your estate. After we've received and processed your initial payment, we will send you a Design Questionnaire. Please complete this questionnaire promptly and thoroughly, so we can ensure you and your estate are fully represented and protected.

  • Attend Design Discovery Meeting

    When we've received your completed Design Questionnaire, we'll schedule a meeting with you to review the plan design based on the information you've provided. We will then use your feedback to refine the plan and create your documents. It's important to ensure the information is complete after this meeting, as any revisions to documents once they're drafted will result in additional fees due to the complexity of making substantial changes.

  • Submit Final Payment

    Prior to receiving and signing your final documents, please submit any remaining payment.

  • Attend Signature Meeting and Sign Documents

    At this meeting, you will receive your final documents for signature. You will also receive any accompanying documents or information outlined in your engagement agreement. We are pleased to have you as a client and thankful you entrusted us to help secure your family's future!


Should you have any questions while filling out the Design Questionnaire, please complete it to the best of your abilities and submit the form. Once you’ve submitted the form, you’ll receive an invitation to schedule the Design Review meeting, where you can bring any questions and correct or clarify any of the information previously submitted.

If you have any questions during the rest of the process, please feel free to email our office and we will resolve those for you. You’ll receive our best email address upon contract signing.
